Xarel-lo from Ferré i Catasús is meticously made with the main indigenous variety in the Penedes, hence its name. Doing honour to its origins, the wine shows disctint notes of pears and green apples. The 4 months in barrels with a daily «battonage» add aromas of vanilla, butter and raw almonds. On the palate it is full bodied and smooth with a balance of acidity giving it stability and length. It pairs perfectly with all kinds of fish, rice dishes, pasta or cheese.
